Ahead of Valentine's Day, AP has looked back into its archive to discover the stars' first celebrity crushes.

Actor Reese Witherspoon didn't hestitate when asked to name the star who set her heart fluttering when she was younger.

"100 percent. Oh I loved River Phoenix," said the producer and actress.

"Oh, yes, he was so cute." chimed in her co-star in "The Morning Show," Jennifer Aniston.

"I had pictures of him on my wall and then also Jim Morrison, from The Doors," Witherspoon continued. "I had a thing about Jim Morrison."

"Loved Jim Morrison. Simon Le Bon," offered Aniston.

"Knives Out" star Don Johnson was a bit more coy about revealing his first celebrity crush for one simple reason:

"I don't think I can tell you that because she actually became a girlfriend," he smiled.

For Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh, it was all about "Dirty Dancing" star Patrick Swayze, while director Greta Gerwig said Leonardo DiCaprio was her bedroom poster crush.

Her "Little Women" co-star Timothee Chalamet remained tight-lipped about his first crush, while Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz revealed he had a crush on the young Shirley MacLaine.

"But I also remember being in awe on every level of Lauren Bacall," he said.

For Jennifer Connelly, it was all about bad boys and daredevils.

"I liked Evel Knievel when I was a kid. I had his jumpsuit, but I also liked the Fonz when I was a kid. Like I also had the little leather jacket with the thing. And why? Why did we think that that was so cool?" she laughed.
