Florida police say a man wearing a GoPro camera recorded an incident where his estranged wife suddenly struck him in the testicles, the Smoking Gun reports.
The website obtained an arrest report which says police arrested Michelle Novak, 37, on Sept. 17 after she allegedly attacked Michael Novak while in the process of an "exchange of children" in their Dunedin, Fla. home. According to the report, the couple are still married and living together but are currently in the middle of divorce proceedings.
Michael Novak told authorities he was wearing a GoPro camera "due to issues in the past with incidents like this." He told police he was reaching in his car to "unbuckle his kids" from the car seat when his estranged wife came from behind.
"The Defendant intentionally struck Michael in the testicles after sneaking up behind him," Deputy Wyeth Whitehurst wrote in the report. "This was seen on video via GoPro that Michael was wearing."
The Smoking Gun points out the arrest report does not say where Michael Novak was wearing the camera that filmed the alleged incident.
Michelle Novka was arrested on a domestic battery charge. During a court appearance on Sept. 18, she pleaded not guilty to the charge, a misdemeanor. The judge released her from custody and ordered she have no contact with her husband.
