This is HOT
"Into the Woods" was the first Broadway play I had ever seen, and, of course, holds a special place in my heart. About a month after I saw it on Broadway Joanna Gleason won the Tony for best actress in a musical for playing the Bakers Wife, and hence a love for Broadway/Theater began. So I am sure you can all imagine how excited I was when I heard last year that they were making it into a movie, and I saw the movie the first day it was out (Christmas Day) at 11 am. For those of you who haven't had the chance to see it, or if you want to see it again, it is now out on DVD and Blu-ray and I highly recommend it.
From the director of "Chicago" and the producer of "Wicked" comes a modern twist on the beloved fairy tales you thought you knew. Academy Award-Winning actress Meryl Streep leads an all-star cast in this enchanted adventure about daring to venture "Into The Woods." Iconic characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel, find their fates intertwined with a humble baker and his wife, whose longing to have a child sends them on a quest to reverse a witch's (Streep) curse. This spellbinding adventure is everything you could ever wish for!
The cast consists of Meryl Streep as the Witch, Johnny Depp as the Wolf, Emily Blunt as the Baker's Wife, James Corden as the Baker, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Chris Pine as Cinderella's Prince, Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack, MacKenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel, and many more.
