Watch: 'Doctor Who' Previews Lots of Queer Representation

A first look at the long-awaited "Doctor Who" season 14 trailer is here, with Ncuti Gatwa as the titular doctor, and there is lots of queer representation packed in the 1 minute clip.

Approaching its 60th anniversary, the season will reportedly begin with a three-part special that sees the previous Doctor, David Tennant, pass the torch in some way to Gatwa.

According to Disney+, season 14 will begin with the anniversary special, "The Star Beast," which will premiere Nov. 25 on Disney+, followed by part two, "Wild Blue Yonder" on Dec. 2 and part three, "The Giggle," concluding on Dec. 9.

In the character mix is "Hearstopper's" Yasmin Finney will play Rose Temple-Noble, the daughter of the Doctor's former companion Donna. Also starring is Neil Patrick Harris and Miriam Margoyles as villains The Celestial Toymaker and Beep the Meep respectively.

But that's not all, RuPaul's "Drag Race" queen Jinkx Monsoon, Jonathan Groff, and newcomer Pete McHale are also in unnamed roles, with the series helmed by "It's A Sin" and "Queer as Folk" creator Russell T Davies.

About Gatwa's casting, Davies shared, "Sometimes talent walks through the door and it's so bright and bold and brilliant, I just stand back in awe and thank my lucky stars. He added, "Ncuti dazzled us, seized hold of the Doctor and owned those TARDIS keys in seconds."
