2023 Rewind: 'Big Brother' Star 'Farmer Dave' Pisses Off Homophobic Fans with Engagement

Did you know "Big Brother" star "Farmer Dave" Graham was gay? Apparently thousands of his followers didn't.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Graham happily announced his engagement to his boyfriend on Instagram. He shared, "After a lifetime of looking, I am absolutely and completely in love with the kindest, calmest, most decent hard-working bloke who balances me perfectly."

He added, "I was the guy who was told a thousand times when you least expect it, it will happen ... and it did!"

Something else happened, too! The announcement served as Graham's coming out because thousands of his followers did not know he was gay. And now being engaged to be married served as the icing on a homophobic cake. And so, Graham began to hemorrhage followers.

He even posted about it, writing It's a funny thing ... I lost a few thousand people from this app when I announced my engagement."

He wondered, "I wonder is it 'cause I'm no longer single or is it 'cause peeps be realising I'm a gay."

Probably a bit of both.

Graham proposed to his Pakistani partner Shazli on January 10, he proudly showed off his engagement ring in the photo.
