Celebrating Activist & Award-Winning Filmmaker JD DiSalvatore
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
On Sunday, December 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Renberg Theater, the community will celebrate and commemorate the life of activist and award-winning filmmaker JD DiSalvatore.
Filmmaker. LGBT Activist, Animal Welfare Advocate, Loyal friend, Karaoke queen. JD Disalvatore was all those things, and much more. In her too-short life, she worked relentlessly to make the world a better place, raise awareness for the issues she cared about deeply, and bring the community together.
To remember and celebrate JD, we invite you to join us for a memorial program in the Renberg Theater, followed by a reception in the courtyard with food, hosted bar, charity tables sponsored by her favorites causes, and in true JD fashion, karaoke.
Hosted by Roberta Munroe with speakers from family, friends, and the organizations she so fiercely supported: Outfest, The Point Foundation, East Valley Animal Shelter, the June Mazer Lesbian Archives, and The Trevor Project.
The ceremony will be held from 12-1 p.m. in the Renberg Theater, followed by the reception from 1-4 p.m. in the courtyard, featuring karaoke, a hosted bar, a food truck, and donation tables. RSVP recommended due to limited space.
The memorial celebration will be held from 12-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Los Angeles LGBT CENTER, 1125 N McFadden Place, Los Angeles, CA 90038.
