The spouse of a Fort Bragg lieutenant colonel will lead the nation's largest organization for partners, spouses and families of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender service members and veterans.
The Fayetteville Observer reports Ashley Broadway will be president of the American Military Partner Association. She's married to Lt. Col. Heather Mack.
Broadway previously served as the organization's director of family readiness and is a founding board member. She also was the 2013 Fort Bragg spouse of the year.
Broadway says she honored and excited to lead the organization. Group founder and president emeritus Stephen Peters praised the selection of Broadway.
