5 Funny Females Returns to Boston

On August 19 and 20, the comic antics of 5 Funny Females returns to Boston for two evening shows at Laugh Boston, bringing to stage the funniest comedians from Bravo, Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, NBC, ABC and VH1.
"5 Funny Females have had selling out from New York City to San Francisco. I am excited to bring 5 Funny Females back to Boston at the newest comedy club in Boston, Laugh Boston," said Susan Alexander, host and creator of 5 Funny Females.
5 Funny Females is a national sold-out tour created by stand-up comedian Susan Alexander, presents a variety of the funniest up and coming female stand-up comedians delivering their unique points of views. Since 2005, 5 Funny Females toured to packed audiences in top U.S. cities including Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Orlando, Philadelphia, Boston and New York City.
On August 19, the lineup includes host Susan Alexander, plus Jessie Baade from Nick at Night's Funniest Mom Contest; Dana Cairns of the Chicago Women's Funny Festival; Selena Coppock of VH1's New Rules for Blondes; Sam Johnson of the Women's Improv Group and Kelly MacFarland from ABC, NBC and Comedy Central.
Alexander is back to host on August 20, with a lineup featuring Ellen Moschetto of Rooftop Comedy; Lillian DeVane of Ladies and Nerds; Julie Kitayama from Women of Color in Comedy; Kendra Cunningham from "Last Comic Standing" and Jimmy Fallon; and Bethany Van Delft of Comedy Central and TV Guide Network.
They will perform at Laugh Boston, the stand-up brother to Improv Asylum, Boston's improv and sketch comedy theater, located in the North End. The venue features premier stand-up comedy, including a weekly show called Boston Accents, as well as national acts.
This national touring stand-up comedy show has a line-up of the most talented up and coming female comedians across the United States, which was created and hosted by Susan Alexander in 2005. Alexander began her stand-up comedy career in San Francisco, covering outrageous and entertaining topics from her Korean mom to celebrity gossip. Alexander's stand-up has been featured on Rooftop Comedy, Comedy Time and WEtv. She is the co-host/creator of "The Denial Show," a weekly web series calling out celebrities in denial.
