Get ready for more gay comedy as Amazon Prime Video has just announced that it has acquired "My Fake Boyfriend" from BuzzFeed Studios and Lionsgate for distribution beginning this summer, The Hollywood Reported reported.

Starring Keiynan Lonsdale ("The Flash"), Dylan Sprouse ("After We Collided") and Sarah Hyland ("Modern Family"), "My Fake Boyfriend" tells the tale of Andrew, a gay man who can't stay away from his toxic ex. So his friends (Sprouse and Hyland) make up a fake boyfriend to help him get over it all that leads to him becoming a social media star. What could go wrong? Seemingly a lot in this rom-com as the fake boyfriend ends up standing in the way of Andrew's true love.

The film will make its U.S. debut on June 15, hitting streaming platforms earlier in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.K., Latin America and Brazil. "

Purchased with the film "1UP," "Fake Boyfriend" represent a multiyear partnership between BuzzFeed and Lionsgate to create films targeting Millennial and Gen Z viewers.

"We're so proud to be teaming with our friends at Amazon Prime on these two incredible films," Lauren Bixby, Lionsgate's vp acquisitions and co-productions, said. "They're wonderful partners and we are thrilled that they will ensure these highly entertaining movies reach the widest possible audience."
