Come Out with Pride to Host Pride Prom

Wednesday March 16, 2022

The following is a press release from Come Out with Pride, Inc.:

Come Out With Pride, Inc., Orlando's nonprofit which produces the largest single day parade and festival celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community, will host its first adult-only (21+) Pride Prom, themed "Express Yourself." This in-person party dance will be at The Orlando Museum of Art on Saturday, April 16.

Come Out With Pride, Inc. is committed to creating safer spaces for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies by increasing their year-round programming. This event is geared toward the LGBTQIA+ community — especially those who identify as trans and non-binary. It will be a safer space where each person can be their authentic selves and bring dates and allies that they perhaps couldn't for high school prom. Of course, allies will be welcome too. It is sure to be a fun-filled night with all of the familiar prom festivities, including dancing, entertainment, a photo booth, VIP Experience and more.

"This year's Pride Prom theme - Express Yourself - was chosen in tribute to all of us, who didn't get a chance to celebrate our high school prom as our authentic selves. We deserve a do-over where we can be who we want to be, bring who we want to bring, and freely wear what we want to wear, " said Tatiana Quiroga, Executive Director for Come Out With Pride. ''Safer spaces like these are critical and essential to the health of our community."

Details about this year's Pride Prom VIP experience, general admission tickets, entertainment, and more event information can be found via Come Out With Pride's website and social media channels. Any notable changes to their operations and/or safety protocols will also be shared online and to all attendees with purchased tickets. A variety of health and safety measures will be implemented throughout the event in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
