Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher Release 'Back To Back'

Wednesday Dec 6, 2017

Comedians and real-life married couple Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher announce the release of their first split comedy album "Back to Back," out December 8 on Aspecialthing Records.

Recorded live in Brooklyn on their recent "Back To Back" co-headlining tour, the 12-track comedy album includes six duo tracks featuring Cameron and Rhea together, followed by three solo tracks from each of them. The album, the first from a same-sex married couple performing as a duo act and separately, features all new material and both comic's edgy and human takes on love, identity, and pop culture.

Cameron and Rhea are the creators and stars of the critically acclaimed hit TV comedy series "Take My Wife" and they are notably the first gay, married couple to co-create, co-star and co-show run a TV show. Both Cameron and Rhea were also named in Variety's prestigious "Comics To Watch" list and both released stand-up albums which went to #1 on iTunes Comedy.

At home in L.A., Cameron and Rhea co-host the weekly comedy show and podcast Put Your Hands Together at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Cameron is also the host of the Queery podcast where she goes off-script to talk gender, upbringing and pop culture with guests including Jill Soloway, Mary Lambert, Evan Rachel Wood, Tegan and Sara, Madin Lopez and more.

City Arts Magazine said, "Gay marriage-era America has its first power couple."

"The energy and chemistry the pair share is so dynamic, and the way they play off of each other feels very organic when watching them on stage. The flow of their set felt natural as if we were witnessing a casual conversation between the two, peppered with hilarity," notes the Austin Chronicle.
