Watch: Swiss DJ Extasia Teams Up with 'Xelle' Vocalist on New Gay Anthem 'Light Beams'
Just in time for summer, DJ Extasia and Zach Adam have teamed up with powerhouse vocalist Rony G for the exciting new single, "Light Beams," set to light up the nights and make its way into your heart and feet. "
"Light Beams' is about being free to shine bright and follow your desires, dreams, and passions" says the song's writer and composer Zach Adam (Martha Wash, Offer Nissim, First Ladies of Disco). "I wrote it to be a ray of hope for anyone who's in a dark place, to remind them there's more to come, the light is about to shine."
With the support of superstar DJ's (official remixes by Offer Nissim and Tony Moran, to name a few), the stage is set for ""Light Beams" to brighten up the pop and dance charts. ""Light Beams" is fun and energetic but still manages to have a profound message" says Swiss based DJ/Producer Extasia, "When Zach played me the song, I knew it was the perfect fit for where I wanted to go as an artist - I want to make you dance and leave you inspired"
Accompanied by a dazzling music video, the trio is very excited for what's coming ahead. "It's been a minute since my last song with XELLE was released" says Rony G who is the voice leading the track, "This is a darker, more mature sound than what I've done before, and I love it! 'Light Beams' and the music video that we made for it is not what people have come to expect of me, and I'm happy to release a new song that manages to be both insightful and poppy, with a great beat. Dance to it, wake up to it, close your eyes and let it lift you up."
After they met while working together with Brazilian dance star Amanda, DJ Extasia and Z ach Adam decided to produce "Light Beams" together. Zach suggested using his former band collaborator Rony G as the lead voice: "She has the range and depth of a classic diva, with the immediacy needed for an anthemic dance track". Extasia happily agreed, he knew of Rony's previous work: "I've heard of Rony G before, and I was already a fan of her voice, charisma and the work she did with 'XELLE' on songs like 'Party Girl' and 'Queen,' I'm glad we got to work together on this song, she's a pro and a sweetheart!"
